Little Cypress Volunteer Fire Department
April 5, 2007
Meeting called to order and pledge by Steve Freeman at 7:00pm.
Minutes of March 1, 2007 read. Motion made by Steve Vaughn to accept,
2nd by Scott McDonald. Motion carried.
Financial Report: Checking balance $741.10, Savings $687.90.
1. Motion made by Jeff Garmon to accept financial report, 2nd by Pee Wee Adams, motion carried.
2. Scott McDoanld made a motion to send a plant to Charlotte Raybon for recent surgery, 2nd by Steve Vaughn
motion carried.
Bills: none
Communications:
1. Steve Vaughn reported on High Rise School he attended, said was very informative.
2. Ladder 33 with Ken Raybon, Harold Burleigh and Steve Freeman participated in a foam demonstration
with Williams Fire at the Best Complex.
3. Ladder 33 with Ken Raybon, Harold Burleigh, Steve Freeman and Chris Leleux participated in a joint
rescue operation at the Port of Beaumont along with several other Fire Departments.
4. Steve Vaughn said Little Cypress High School requested Ladder 33 at the May 5 car show
at the High School and would also like our presence and a EMT at the up coming prom.
Report of Recent Incidents:
Numerous medical calls and fire calls. Scott McDonald asked that on medical runs even if you
don't have medical training still respond if possible.
Report of Officers:
1. Jeff Garmon will have Blue/Green Med bags , AED, Pulse Ox on Engine 32 at station 2.
2. Steve Vaughn stated that Chief Browning received grant money from CEDAP for a Thermal Imaging
Camera, plus training for 2 on the equipment.
3. Steve also stated that there were extra batteries in the glove box on Engine 31.

Old Business:
1. New By-Laws and Guidelines with changes made were read. Motion to accept as 1st reading by Jeff
Garmon, 2nd by Pee Wee Adams. Motion carried.
New Business:
1. Scott McDonald said Ladder 33 breathing air system for the bucket is now in service. There are 2
egress harnesses with regulators in the white boxes in the bucket. Also training on the system
was given by Scott McDonald. Anyone that missed the training should get with Scott.
2. Motion was made by Pee Wee Adams to turn off radios of the ones who were asked to turn in their gear due to
not being in compliance with training and participation in runs, 2nd by Jeff Garmon. Motion carried
radios will be turned off.
Good of the Department:
1. Members asked to keep up with their training.
