Business Meeting
Little Cypress Volunteer Fire Department
March 1, 2007

Meeting called to order and pledge by Steve Freeman at 7:00pm.

Minutes of February 1, 2007 read. Motion made by Pee Wee Adams to accept,
2nd by Scott McDonald. Motion carried.

Financial Report:  Checking balance $587.28, Savings $687.90, $750.00 was transferred from
savings to checking to pay for the shirts ($872.00) that were ordered from Nights Uniform.
Motion made by Pee Wee Adams to accept financial report, 2nd by Chris LeLeux, motion carried.

Bills: none

Communications:

Scott McDonald reported several schools coming up, High Rise firefighting, Industrial Foam Demo
by Williams Fire at Best Complex, Marine firefighting at the Port of Beaumont, Swift Water Rescue
training is available, also Chief Browning is looking into getting Boat Operator training and refresher
training here. Training opportunities are posted on the Dispatch Window and also on the Dept Web
page. 

Report of Recent Incidents:

Grass fire on Mitchell/Alvin, also on Pea Farm Rd,  Railroad -truck wreck, several Medical calls
throughout the District. Also assisted Deweyville with a grass fire.

Report of Officers: 

Jeff Garmon stated that in the green medical bags that the pedi masks will be on one side
with a seal on the zipper, the adult masks will be on the other side, also that Chief Browning
will present to the Board of Directors a request to purchase another AED and Pulse-OX.
Scott McDonald gave a update on the West Bluff boat ramp, SRA and Corp of Engineers are
looking into moving the ramp about 300yds from the original launch.  

Committee Reports: None

Old Business: 

Scott McDonald ask if everyone had read over the draft of the Organizational Guidelines
and By-Laws as requested at the last business meeting, Mike Queen had a list of 4 concerns,
these were discussed and corrections to the draft will be made for the next business meeting.
Jason Gengo had several questions that he wrote down but did not bring them to the meeting.
Jason Gengo made a motion to table the discussion to a future date, no second, motion died.
Scott McDonald made a motion to accept changes Mike Queen had on the Guidelines
and By-Laws and to have them read at the next business meeting, 2nd by Chris LeLeux, motion passed.

New Business: None

Good of the Department:

Class A shirts have been bought for all Officers and Firefighters, see Steve Freeman for distribution.
